I am a Biochemist and protein X-ray crystallographer by training. I use computers a lot for what I do, in fact when I am not at my lab bench purifying protein, I am at my computer learning about one of the many open-source platforms that interest me .
There is a lot to be said about software that arises from within a domain written by everyday people to solve a problem inside that domain. Code-itch is my attempt to educate myself in the open-source technologies that will help me write the code that will allow me to solve those problems.
